Johnson Wedding - Featured August 26, 2013

Ashley Jain and Conner Johnson married 6.15.13, 6:30 pm, at Dominion House in Guthrie, OK.
"Our wedding ceremony and reception was held at the Dominion House in Guthrie, OK on June 15th. It had rained all morning and afternoon but a few hours before our wedding, the weather cleared and we were left with a beautiful evening for an outdoor ceremony. Conner and I have been together for five years and spent three of them long distance, so our wedding day was such a joyful and amazing day for both of us, and something for which we'd waiting for so long. Neither of us have ever had so much happiness as we did that day, surrounded by our loving family and friends. Everything came together perfectly, despite having to coordinate a wedding party that lived in 6 different states throughout the planning process! It was a beautiful day and one that we will never forget! Our wedding day was the perfect way to start our marriage! All photo credits go to Photos by Esther, LLC."

Parker Wedding - Featured August 12, 2013

Lexis Sakkara Smith and Jeffrey Joseph Parker married on May 25th, 2013 at Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.

Jeffrey and Lexis had the most formal wedding. The romantic ambiance of the country club was the inspiration for the black tie event.   The fairytale evening started with a ceremony adorned in all white flowers and a 10 foot train followed the bride.  A four course meal was served by the country club while a live jazz band played. The formal event ended with the bride and groom driving away in a 69' camaro.

Kendrick Destination Wedding - Featured July 22, 2013

Matt and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful setting than Black Canyon Inn at Estes Park, Colorado for our intimate, outdoor wedding ceremony and reception.  The stunning mountain views and natural beauty that surrounded our location was the inspiration and starting point for planning and styling our wedding day.  Photography by Jenna Butkus

Washa Wedding - Featured July 15, 2013

The best part of my wedding day was when Brian and I saw each other for the first time. We decided to see each other before the ceremony began so I could "get my tears out of the way. He had his back to me, and my heart was racing while I was walking toward him. When he turned around it was the happiest smile I had ever seen him smile. We cried for a minute but mostly we laughed and smiled because we couldn't believe it was finally THE DAY. It was fun having our own little private moment before the big event began. Some of my favorite pictures were from that 5 minutes alone; my mouth hurt from smiling so hard all day! Photos by Josh McCullock Photography

London Wedding - Featured July 8, 2013

Eric and I were married at The Hall at Old Town Plaza in Norman on June 8, 2012. I would have to say one of my favorite moments from that day was right after we were married when we went off with the photographer to take our pictures. It was nice to be just us for a small amount of time before the reception.  We both loved spending time with our closest friends and family before the wedding actually started. All the girls and I got ready at a hotel in Norman and it was just a really easy and great time with all the ladies I love. Eric and his groomsmen went to The Abner in Norman and our photographer met them there and took some great pictures of them before the wedding. Our dog, Vega, was also a part of our day too and it wouldn't have been the same without him, so I was really excited that our venue was pet friendly. Our photographer was Cary Holton Photography. I have known her for years and she takes amazing pictures, so she was the only one I wanted to capture our wedding day. She had such a great eye and captured so many great moments from that day. It was all around a great day and wouldn't change a thing about it.

Bohach Wedding - Featured July 1, 2013

The wedding, both ceremony and reception, was held at the Oklahoma Heritage Museum on May 19th, 2013.  Unfortunately, it was set to be an outdoor wedding but tornado sirens were howling minutes before the vows were said, therefore it was moved inside.  The photographer was Tiffany Hudson Photography, who captured the special day perfectly.  Elegantly Finished Faces did the makeup, and Abbey Road Catering provided an amazing assortment of heavy hors d'oeuvres for the reception.  The entertainment for the reception was M&M Productions.  The wedding theme was classic and military.  The groom was a newly commissioned officer in the U.S. Army and wore his dress blues, along with a traditional saber arch for the recessional of the bride and groom.  The bride carried her grandmother's bible, filled with highlighted scripture and words that were written before she passed, instead of a bouquet.  Blush and green were prominent in the reception decor to carry the essence of spring.  The cake was designed by Simply Sweet and the dress was by Allure.

Dan and Keri Marie Daniels - Featured June 10, 2013

Dan & Keri Marie Daniels  03.01.13 Our wedding was held in the modern and elegant loft of Red Primesteak. It was a delightful little affair with our most intimate family and friends. We really wanted the guests to be the focus of our wedding. The evening began with a welcome reception hosted by the bride and groom, followed by a brief non-traditional ceremony. Guests were then served a three course dinner with wine pairings while toasts were offered to the happy couple. The cake and flowers were designed with the comforts of home in mind, simplicity and charm. Ambient warmth through creative up-lighting and hanging bulbs provided a romantic backdrop for dancing and celebrating. Our wedding coordinator Kindt Steven Myers helped us bring our vision to life in just four short months. Dan and I played a large role in every detail of our special day and our love and cooperation grew stronger from the incredible experience.  My dream come true!

Opsahl Wedding

Opsahl Wedding - May Thirty-First Two Thousand Thirteen
Eran Praise Dragg & Cody Lyle Opsahl
May 31, 2013 6:00pm Ardmore, OK
The Opsahl wedding was a very colorful affair! All dressed in black and white with 7 bright colored accents. The bride and her entourage all wore the same shoe in different colors while the groom and his crew wore high top sneakers with matching shoe laces and ties. It was a huge party, and the bride and her father even busted out a surprise "Wobble" during their father-daughter dance. Not to mention, when he gave her away, they fist bumped and chest bumped. Eran and Cody got married after nearly 6 years of dating and honeymooned in The Dominican Republic. It was a perfect day!!
Eran was the runner up for Miss OkBride 2013 and still got to be an OkBride.

Sowders Wedding

Well, on May 4th, 2013 after over 4 years of dating, I married my best friend. Like most men, he wanted very little to do with the wedding planning. After looking and looking, I found the venue. Joy's Palace was perfect for my shabby chic wedding! It's a really unique building in downtown Norman that used to be an antique mall and before that a mechanic's garage. The feel of the building went well with my motorcycle racing fiance's personality, so we went with it. There were little sprockets mixed with gems littering the tables. We had a small wedding with about 100 guests and it was perfect. Everyone seemed to love the hutch that we decorated in the entry to our reception, it was a good way to show off our relationship and gave guests a peak into our lives. I made my bouquet from silk flowers and brooches, some of the brooches were my mother's, grandmother's, and great grandmothers; it was a sentimental thing that ended up being gorgeous! The lace and tulle mixed with the sprockets, burlap, and raw brick fit us perfectly! I wouldn't change a thing!

Hudson Wedding

I'm a 30-something and this was my second marriage.  Planned a strict budget of $2000 and managed to keep it with the help of family and Pinterest. I made this sign out of old fence panel pieces. My Mom was in charge of the table decorating and found the white linen material for $1/yard to use for table covers. "Hugs and Kisses" saying on this box had double-meaning...we stuffed each box with Hershey Hugs and Kisses chocolates.  My Mom made the center pieces and I cut pieces of old fence panels down and sanded them.  Used spray chalkboard paint and had my cousin write quirky messages on each with colored chalk.  Served a light lunch and went with kind of a picnic theme with finger sandwiches, fruit/veggie trays, and lemonade/tea to drink.  And the kids went crazy over the sugar- filled kiddie table.  My cousin used fresh roses and tulle to spruce up the cake.  Used antique tin pie pans to serve mints and little metal buckets with metal scoops to serve the nuts.  We loved our day and spent the week following the wedding on a road trip through the southeast.
